Team A-Maxx competed in round 3 of the Stars Championship Series at the beautiful Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati. It was a scorcher of a weekend, but our team was up for the task!
In the 40-kart field for KA Senior the field was fierce! Adam Maxwell found himself qualifying run wasn't what he had hoped for but accepted the challenge! In heat 1 he rallied up the field and finished P4, in heat 2 Adam was P7. After starting the prefinal in 8th he finished in 6th, which is where he will start the final. Adam moved up the field quick and battled back and forth with the top spots. In the end Adam made his way up to capture the 3rd step of the podium! Congratulations Adam!!!!!
Several of our other drivers made great moves and had good battles themselves! Kacen Hendrickson was one of them and had several setbacks during his runs. These setbacks included having trouble getting his kart to start off grid during the pre-final resulting in the field getting the green while he was half of a lap behind and struggled to catch up to the field. As a result, it left Kacen starting the final P20. After a great start, he was up several positions and drove the wheels off that kart to gain 10 spots and finish P10!!
All of Team A-Maxx drivers work hard on their race craft each and every week and we are always very proud of them! Some weeks you get the bear and some weeks the bear gets you, but our never give up attitude is what our team is all about, because #IamtheStorm
